The journal was created in 2001 by LLC THE PUBLISHING HOUSE “TECHNOLOGY”, the founder of which was K.N. Stas. Under his leadership the initiative group was created with prof. E.Yurkevich, I.Shubinsky, V.Lipaev and other members within it.  E. Yurkevich was appointed as the editor of the journal, who represented the Russian Academy of Sciences. In its early years the journal was primarily a site for the specialists of atomic industry. Then for different reasons the journal attracted less interest, and by the year 2010 the portfolio of articles had become empty. The management was replaced – Igor Shubinsky became the head of the journal. The new management defined topical directions for publications, reorganized the editorial board, created a new publishing team. In a short space of time the journal obtained authors and readers in different industries: railway and air transport, atomic energy, information technologies, as well as in certain European countries (Germany, Serbia, Belorussia, etc.).
